Making women and their partners feel strong and supported during birth and beyond has been my passion for more than 7 years during which I have supported more than 90 families. Pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum is a very special time in your life and I believe you deserve to have the most positive and empowering experience you could hope for.
I regard it a privilege to support any kind of birth, whether you choose to have a low intervention hospital birth, an induction, a planned caesarean birth or a homebirth. My experience, including complex scenarios such as supporting twin births, has given me a solid perspective on the many different paths of birth and provides a strong, grounded level of support for you. I aim to be an absolute professional at what I do.
A little bit about me...
Me and my family (that's my husband Ben and our two little boys) moved to the Central Coast in early 2015 and are incredibly happy to have found this beautiful part of the world to lay down our roots and raise our boys here. I trained with the Australian Doula College in 2013 to become a certified birth & postnatal doula and also completed my Cert IV in Doula Support Services. More recently I have become a member of the committee of the national association 'Doula Network Australia' to continue my efforts to unite and strengthen the profession within the birth environment.
My fascination about the wonder of pregnancy and birth has been lifelong (or as long as I can remember) but it was the birth of my first son and love of motherhood, which brought me to my calling to support and empower other women and their partners on this incredible journey. Today I can honestly say that I have loved every moment of my journey as a doula so far and the connections I've made with the families I supported will stay with me forever.
I am based in Saratoga on the Central Coast, NSW
